CROSSMARK Volunteers Join Valentine’s Day Event at Children’s Medical Center Plano

PLANO, TEXAS, February 15, 2016 — Last week CROSSMARK volunteers participated in a special Valentine’s Day event, hosted by Children’s Miracle Network ; a non-profit organization that raises funds for children’s hospitals, medical research and community awareness of children’s health issues.

CROSSMARK volunteers joined Children’s Medical Center Plano staff in the front entrance of the hospital to celebrate Valentine’s Day with children and parents by decorating Valentine’s-themed cookies and creating thoughtful Valentine’s Day greeting cards.

“I really enjoy working with companies like CROSSMARK, to create an occasion for employees to participate in activities for the cause,” said Angela Bynum, Development Officer for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. She continued, “At CMN, we’re always looking for ways for you to feel closer to the cause in a direct way, such as today’s event, joining in activities with the patients.”

“Since some of the kids can’t attend school, they miss out on Valentine’s Day parties,” said Bynum, “so we hope today’s event will give them a chance to participate in something similar.”

Since 1999, CROSSMARK has proudly supported CMN through corporate donations, community events and employee contributions.

CROSSMARK wishes to thank its volunteers who helped to make Valentine’s Day special for children at Children’s Medical Center Plano.
