NFRA Names CROSSMARK Winner
of the Amber Penguin Award
PLANO, TEXAS, October 14, 2015 – CROSSMARK was declared the winner of the prestigious Amber Penguin Award during the 2015 National Frozen & Refrigerated Foods Association (NFRA) 13th Annual Golden Penguin Awards Competition. Every year, the NFRA declares June as Dairy Month and celebrates the best merchandising promotions that effectively use in-store programs, consumer education, advertising and merchandising materials to drive refrigerated dairy aisle sales during the month-long event.
This year, CROSSMARK was named as the winner of the Amber Penguin, an award which honors companies that have won three Gold awards in consecutive years in the same category.
To help raise awareness for June Dairy Month, the CROSSMARK team adopted a 360 degree marketing approach; utilizing marketing tactics in and out of store, extending their efforts even within the walls of the CROSSMARK Headquarters in Plano, Texas. The results were phenomenal; the team achieved 114% of their display objective for Land O’Lakes.
Due to the three-time win, the CROSSMARK team will be ineligible to participate in next year’s competition but we are certain that they will be returning for another win in 2017!
