Help with Windows XP Citrix Installation

Return to Citrix Home Page

If you have ever installed a browser-based plug-in, installing the Citrix client should be just as easy.

Step 1:  Click on the Install Citrix Client link

Step 2:  You will be prompted, select Run.

NOTE:  If you are having problems running the install package, try to Save the package first to your desktop instead of Running it here.  Sometimes, especially if you are using dial-up access to the Internet, the client install will work better if you download the package first.

If you decide to save the package to your desktop instead of installing it, double click on the install package and continue to follow the instructions to complete the install.

Step 3:  You will be warned again, and again select Run.

Step 4:  After the download and install is completed, you will see the following screen.  Click on Finish.

Step 5:  Click on the Proceed to Citrix link.  From here, you will see links to the applications you have rights to access and run in Citrix.  If you do not see an application you expect to see in Citrix, click here to enter a request for access to an application.

The first time you run an application through Citrix, you will be prompted to indicate what kind of access you want to allow Citrix.

Step 6:  You should select Full Access and Never Ask Again on the Citrix Client File Security dialog box.

Click on OK, and you should be off and running with Citrix!
