Don Martin joined CROSSMARK in 1998 as the Chief Financial Officer. He is responsible for all financial and administrative aspects of the company, including financial and taxation strategic planning, budgeting and forecasting, internal and external financial reporting, commercial banking relationships, treasury, internal and external audit, human resources including all benefit plans, property / casualty insurance plans, information systems development and infrastructure, fleet management, procurement and real estate. Don was also instrumental in structuring the transactions and due diligence necessary for CROSSMARK’s numerous mergers and acquisitions.
Prior to CROSSMARK, Don worked for Black-eyed Pea Restaurants, Inc. for 10 years. He served in several different financial positions including four years as Corporate Controller and two years as the CFO. His career began with public accounting firm KPMG Peat Marwick, where he managed audit engagements for major public and private corporations and other business entities.
Receiving a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Baylor University, Don has been a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) since 1984 and is a member of the Texas Society of CPAs.
